In reference to the original PTO definition (PAID
TIME OFF) but with a double meaning. Usually referring to those employees who request
time off at their
job willingly knowing they're not showing up to work regardless if their request gets rejected or not. When PTO is entered at certain jobs, it has to be accepted or denied by either HR or a Manager. As a result of that, when employees are requesting
time-off they will often times reference the term while submitting their request.
"Hey Justin, I'm clocking out and I'll be using PTO so I need you to Prepare
The Others".
"I'm going on
vacation next week therefore my PTO (Prepare
The Others) request shall be approved".
