The western most portion of the Asian Continent, bordered by Pakistan in Southern Asia, Turkmenistan in Central Asia, Russia in Northern Asia and Egypt in Northern Africa. Southwestern Asia is inhabited by primarily Turks, Turkmens, Pashtuns, Balochis, Persians, Arabs, Turks, Azeris, Kurds, Armenians and Georgians. Among the worlds oldest civilization arose in Southwestern Asia in the fertile crescent of what is now Iraq and Turkey. Southwest Asian tradition is very similar to that of Central Asia and the main religion is Islam, however prominent Christian populations are present in Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Georgia and Armenia.

We plan to go to Istanbul this Spring, it's the largest city in Southwest Asia!

southwest high school

Southwest High School (or Southwest Senior High) is a high school in the Linden Hills neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. It's considered the best public high school in the city. It's in the top 200 high schools in the country according to Newsweek, but Newsweek rankings are kinda messed up if you ask me. It's still a pretty good school.

50% of Southwest students are in the IB program. That means 50% of Southwest students were in the top 20% of their 8th grade class. So in a way Southwest is kind of a magnet school, or at least it tends to attract the upper/upper middle class kids from around the city. It's still diverse though and has a lot of students from the lower-income bracket. It is also ethnically diverse despite having the lowest Hmong and Somali populations of any high school in the city.

Most of the athletic teams kind of suck, but Southwest tends to do well at track and soccer. About half the kids at the school are "on" cross-country, but only 100 or so actually show up.

As for culture... I'd say that Southwest is pretty diverse lol. There's a HUGE subculture of artsy theatre kids. There's practically a play every week. But there's also a lot of trendy people and some ghetto people. Most people are pretty normal though. People drink and smoke weed but they don't really talk about it, and harder drugs are definitely rare.

But at Southwest, drinking and smoking don't really make you cool... being cool is more like acting really really white. Like, eating organic food and watching Wes Anderson movies. It's pretty strange for a high school. but i dunno. Also, Southwest students are more humanities focused.

In conclusion, Southwest is a pretty good place to go to high school. Especially if you are a good smart kid and you like theatre and all of that. For more examples of how cool Southwest kids like to act, see www.stuffwhitepeoplelike.com ...it's pretty much the exact same haha.

Southwestern University 

Extremely small, gorgeous university in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. Popular location for the studies of spoiled, well-maintained, rich kids. With approximately 3 girls for each guy enrolled, Southwestern University is an excellent school for less-then attractive rich boys to flash their cash and get laid, while forcing the very attractive females to adjust their standards. With such a small student body, and huge girl-guy ratio, the dating pool is inevitably inter-crossed between friends, ex’s and drunken hookups from the previous Wednesday of skanky fraternity partying. An excellent choice for the “daddy’s girl” and the “tool” guy who needs a fraternity to fit into. All-in-all, students are very happy with their lives while at Southwestern.

Father: “Honey, time to choose where you want to go to college”
Daughter: “I already know I want to go to Southwestern University!”
Father: “GREAT, a small school, very sheltered, you’ll like it.”
Daughter: “Yes, but can I have a new BMW 5-series, Prada purse, and your credit card… just so I can fit in?”

SouthEast Asian 

Southeast Asian is what Laos, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Hmong claim as their race with pride. What separates these races from East Asians and other Southeast Asians is that they have lower incomes in America and they left their war torn countries for a new life elsewhere. They've been through a lot of struggle and set out for a new life in Western Countries. They're Parents gave up their old lives for the kids to have better ones. The kids of the First generation that came to America and went to school and experienced a lot of Racism, prejudice, and were assaulted. Since they were from low income families a lot of them turned to the gang life. The Horrors they've witnessed from their homelands of War torn Southeast Asia made these kids hard, tough, violent, and they knew how to fight a war. So gang wars between Southeast Asian Gangs and other gangs started up Such as the one in Long Beach. As time progresses a lot leave the gang life even though a lot of youngsters join. But in this time period most of them live a good life with a good family.

SOUTHEAST ASIAN PRIDE

Althought all these are categorized as Southeast Asians as well - The mainland section consists of Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia (or to be more precise, Peninsular Malaysia). The maritime section consists of Brunei, East Timor,1 Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore.

They did not face the struggles that Cambodians laos vietnamese and hmongs have so to me they are not Southeast Asian
