street smarts 

Intelligence gained outside of school. Just as useful as book smarts, and in many cases more so. It can be divided into 4 categories.

1.Getting Along With Others- Knowing which questions to ask and not asking too many,being polite and friendly, but also being assertive.

2.Common Sense- Knowing who you can trust, which areas in town are good and which are bad, etc.

3.Self-defense-Knowing how to fight and fend off an attacker, especially if you are small.

4.BS-detection-Knowing when people are trying to fuck you over, reading their intentions, and knowing that most corporate advertisements are complete bullshit.

Dave Thomas founded Wendy's without school because he had street smarts.

dime–store philosophy 

Cheap, one-size-fits-all explanations about life. They consist of clichés, empty truisms and tautologies, and (often contradictory) platitudes.

Dime–stores were common in the early part of the 20th c. Every main street had such a store where you could buy tawdry, second-rate stuff for cheap prices. (Now they're Dollar stores, though these are not as common or a central fixture in every town.)

I run from the coffeehouse whenever that windbag shows up with his dime–store philosophy.

I'll take Crumb's cartoons over the banal musings of a dime-store philosopher any day.

A slang term for where someones going or is at after death.

1) Person 1: Wheres Johnny?
Person 2: Hes on heroin we havent seen him for 4 days.
Person 1: heading for 7th street I guess.

2) Person: My cousin died, he lives on 7th street now.

Pickle Storked 

The feeling of being uncontrollably high. Everything around you is majestic and you're too happy to function. The feeling can only be achieved through massive intake of marijuana smoke. Not to be confused with "rackle knocked", pickle storked is a feeling of pure stonedom; It is not achievable when cross-faded.
