When a team loses a game, or plays terrible. When something bad happens to someone or something. Similar to Getting mushed or being a mush. When your friend picks a team they will always lose.
Belied
The powerful, competent adult on the surface belied the lifelong struggle with the silly man child/girl child underneath the surface of the skin. The one that always tried to turn everyone else into the man child/ girl child, or the 40 year old adolescent.
