save scumming

In video games: Manually saving your game over and over again (usually before important decisions/boss battles, etc.) to make sure that if you screw up later on, you can always just return to your most recent saved game.

Used in games that allow players to save whenever they want, thus making the game substantially easier because there's no real penalty for messing up, and it lets the player know what to expect ahead.
If I wasn't save scumming so much, I would've had to restart this mission a shitton of times.

Occupational Slumming

Taking a job that is beneath a person's education or skill level as a means of retreat from adult responsibilities and/or avoiding possible failure in one's true occupation.
Although he was trained to be an architect, Hank took a job at Burger King instead because he didn't believe he'd be able to design a building that anyone would be interested in financing. His parents were disappointed by Hank's obvious occupational slumming.
Samming or *samming*

1- The look of complete adoration and love that only one can achieve when looking at the love of their life, AKA One Direction.

2- The action of copying Sam.

ORIGINATING from a tumblr post; a picture of a male fan standing in the GA section of the crowd of a one direction concert, with a look of awe on his face- ‘he needs a place in this fandom. Let’s call him Sam’.
Did you see that man in the crowd looking at One Direction- “he was samming”

slumming it

When rich kids go and live in poverty for the experience , to prove they are artists, musicians , for entertainment , feel like they are connected to real life , but usually get money from mom, dad, uncle, to exist. And they can leave it anytime they want and go back to the upper middle class and upper class milieu live off of wealthy parents, relatives, friends . As usual they usually go and work in finance and banking and screw the common people . A song by Pulp called Common People is an example in the lyrics .
How's that old ex rich girlfriend of yours doing ?
2: Well she went slumming it in downtown Detroit . She would run around without any shoes and clothes and give services to johns . She then had her daddy bail her out a few months later . Now she's working as a financier, in derivatives , offshoring, writing loans to people who can't afford the mortgage and the like
