psychotown

A metaphorical state of mind where all sense of decency and morality are lost, and where the wellness, happiness and health of the self or others are no longer a concern, which is open to be visited by anyone with sufficient emotional stimulation (or, quite often, a lack thereof) at their leisure.
She was a weirdo from the beginning, with her cat obsession, her impulsive coffee-bean counting, and her pretty frequent manic outbursts, but when her boyfriend broke up with her, straight-out she took a trip into psychotown's deepest and darkest alleys. (Now picture how the woman in question envisions burning down the houses of the guy and all his family members.)

psychotronic

The American use of this term comes from a 1979 movie called "The Psychotronic Man". It refers to the ability to control the physical world with your mind. Because of this movie the word psychotronic fell into generic usage for obscure cult films.

Mayor of Psycho Town

Someone who is a compulsive liar but has no choice because that’s his or her nature. They are also back stabbers who will tell any secret or any lie just to get some attention. This person is often telling ridiculous lies. They may also take on different personalities and can be a major bitch.
Peyton is the original Mayor of Psycho Town.

A sketch by the "Upright Citizens Brigade", spoofing scientology and dianetics. A very funny parody, may be found at www.xenutv.com/us/ucb.htm

The 2018 California Organized Torture Act attempts to ban psychotronic torture.

Essentially, "psychotronic" is a hybridization of "psychological" and "electronic".

A psychotronic device is a special class of electronic devices that interface directly with the human brain and central nervous system. at their worst, these devices are typically used for mind control or mind destruction by tuning and directing specific frequencies of microwave energy to resonate with targeted cortical brain areas in the victim. These devices are usually deployed remotely by hostile players in an effort to attack and subvert political or business opponents, whistle-blowers, etc. The devices can insert delusions, voices, or odd sounds inside the sensory receptors of the targeted victim, which can mimic many symptoms of mental illness in a person who would otherwise have a healthy mind. The lack of detectable dammage leaves no evidence of attack.

At their best, psychotronic devices can be used to induce alpha brain states, and can be coupled with positive affirmations and other forms of NLP to help individuals overcome psychological difficulties or achieve meditational states of mind. This type of device is more likely to consist of electrodes or hand-held metal cans which feed a very small pulsing current through the body at a specifice frequency corresponding to the desired brain state. Some examples are the theta state, at 4 to 8 hertz or cycles per second.
Your instructions are to gang block the target. An operative will be working from a nearby rooftop with psychotronic equipment to mentally de-stabilize him.

Dude, check out my new mind machine. I'm going to do some mind-flying with it.

What are you doing? I'm taking apart this microwave oven so I can use the magnetron in it to build a psychotronic device.

"No, that's a mis-spelling of the word.

Psychotomy

A mental condition where a person’s personality seems to have been split into two opposite and distinct behavioral patterns emerging randomly. The condition consists of mutually exclusive bipartition of the psyche; one side of the split psyche is void of empathy, conscience or concern and utilizes poor impulse control, the other side of the psyche contains empathy, caring, concern and the impulse control.
A person with this condition will interact and react changeably (between psyches’) to any given set of circumstances defying logic and, in many cases, common sense. The reactions and decisions of a person with this condition are difficult to predict and without pattern, i.e. it’s a coin toss as to which side of the psyche you’ll get.
Example 1: When the boss sends you an e-mail stating that he/she will be visiting your site and letting people go due to poor performance and to save money. Then, upon arrival, instead of letting people go he/she guarantees them that they will keep their jobs for at least another year.

Example 2: When your friend Joe tells you how much he hates Tom, so much so that he will rip him a new ass the next time he sees him; then when Joe meets up with Tom, Joe acts like he’s not even angry and actually feels sorry for Tom. A few days later Joe tells you again how much he hates Tom and when they meet up again Joe kicks his ass.

If you know people who are like that they have a condition called Psychotomy.
