In woman's gymnastics, a special balance beam maneuver in which the gymnast launches herself into the air before forcibly landing directly upon her genitals, usually resulting in an ebullient crowd reaction.
The move
originated as a
catastrophic accident in the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden, with top members of the gymnastics community referring to it's occurrence as everything from "anticlimactic" to "a failure of orgasmic proportions." Over the course of the last century, however, this has become
one of the most beloved moves in all of gymnastics.
