Definitions by miskatonic Jack 2

The period that started on January 1st 1900 and ended December 31st 1999. Often confused with the 20th century (which began and ended exactly 1 year later) as well as the 1st decade of the 1900s.
During the 1900s, many disenfranchised groups got a better life, but on the downside, the landscape was destroyed by the automobile (as well as the airplane) and all the things that followed.

See Two-Thousands AKA the 2XXXs
A thousand year period.
Not to be confused with the Third Millenium, which begins and ends exactly a year later.
The 2000s begin on January 1st of the year 2000 and end on December 31st of the year 2999 @ 11:59 P.M.

Two-Thousands

AKA Two Thousands, 2000s, 2XXXs, 2-Thousands, 2 Thousands etc.
The period between January 1st of the year 2000 and December 31st of the year 2999.
With all the transformations our planet, it's cultures, government, geography, technology, language, music, the way we dress etc are likely to go through, it is highly unlikely that we will get through the Two-Thousands with a world as closely resembling our own as that shown on the cartoon "Futurama."

What the state of West Virginia was first refered to apon becoming a state, but they chose West Virginia instead, overlooking the fact Virginia juts out about 50 to 70 miles west of WVA. Kanawha is the name of the river that cuts through the state all the way to the Ohio and which begins in the western North Carolina mountains.
It is also the name of the largest county, where the capitol is located, as well as it's airport.
Not only should the name of the State be changed back to this, but so should the capitol city, Charleston, to "Kanawha City."

Birthplace of Brad Dourif the voice of Chucky from Child's Play
Also the birthplace of John Nash Jr (a Beautiful Mind was based on him, he won a nobel peace prize in 1994)

The film version of "Silent Hill" took place here.

Dr. Hunter "Patch" Adams, a holistic doctor, founded the "Gesundheit!" Institute in the Hillsboro area of this state.

Daniel Johnston grew up here

Others
Steve Harvey, Jennifer Garner, Bob Denver (Gilligan), Don Knotts, Chris Sarandon

Also home to the annual Mothman festival (held in the the town of Point Pleasant where the Kanawha River feeds into the Ohio), and it's namesake , as well as the alien robot refered to as the flatwoods monster or the Braxton County Monster.

Most of the Stained Glass in the USA comes from this state.
They should have ket the name Kanawha. It's much more original and much less confusing. Same thing with the Capitol City of "Charleston".

Twenty-Hundreds

AKA Twenty Hundreds, 20-Hundreds, 20 Hundreds, 20XXs, 20-00s etc
The period beginning in the year 2000 and ending in the year 2099.
Not to be confused with the 21st century (Twenty First Century, the period between January 1st 2001 and December 31st 2100), or the Two-Thousands (or 2000s the period which begins in the year 2000 and ends in the year 2999)
It is more than likely that humans will not have permanently colonized any of the areas outside of the Earth's atmosphere before the end of the late Twenty-Hundreds, which is a shame considering how overpopulated we will probably be by that time.
