1) A word used to describe an area that has a much higher density than the surrounding area; clustered. This could either be the downtown of the central city in a larger metropolitan area (the skyscraper distict) or a clustered villiage/hamlet surrounded by forest\cropland\open desert.
2) Traditionally, areas where employment came from non-primary sources (secondary and tertiary). However, modern industry tends to take place over an area that has little of the density needed to truly be considered urbanized.
3)Associated with African-American or Hip-Hop culture.
4) Not suburban.

1) Believe it or not, a dense clustered villiage or hamlet surrounded by open countryside is very much in fact, urban.
An estate, set back from the road on 5 or more acres, a house space or more away from their neighbors near the metropolitan centre, now that's just not urban.
2)While the economy of our metropolitan area is considered urban, the density of the industrial parks is low enough to render that term laughable.
3)There is a store in Paducah near Lowertown that sells urbanwear and other aspects of urban or hip-hop culture.
4)Theres nothing sadder than a bunch of people living in low density suburbia calling themselves "urban".

The next stage in human evolution. Highly logical and intellectual but with limited social skills.
Many Aspies are also either virgins or homosexual meaning that they prevent overpopulation by not breeding.

♦ Where people live who drive an hour to a well paying job.
♦ Where your neighbor's house is 100 ft from your own and both are 50 meters (164.041 feet) from the road.
♦ Where gated communities are built with 2 acre lots and the homeowners association is constantly in fear of non-conformity and people using that land to grow their own food as well as any landscape which is reverting to it's natural state.
♦ Where your neighborhood centers around a golf course and the closest retail is 4 miles (6.43737 km) away
♦ Where your zip code's tallest building rises 2 storeys and the population density never goes beyond 1,000 people per square mile.
♦ Where rich white people go in order to avoid ethnic minorities, same thing with their country clubs.
♦ Where the water table is irreversibly contaminated by all the lawn chemicals the residents use.
♦ Where the treeless lawn surrounding one's ranch house is used for parking, sports, and an area where one's many dogs and children can run wild and wreck havoc.
♦ Areas idealized by people like Frank Lloyd Wright and Joel Garreau (writer of Edge Cities).
♦ Areas reviled by people such as Paolo Soleri and James Howard Kunstler.

Land in exurban areas is used in the most wasteful, unsustainable and impractical ways. It's not at all uncommon for property owners to have a half acre of their spread paved over. I've even heard of aviation enthusiasts

How Mexican and other Latin American News shows refer to the USA so as to avoid the obvious confusion created by both the terms Estados Unidos, and America\Americans in paricular.
EUA is another abbreviated term used.

What do you mean by "America?" Duh! Look at a map, not only does Mexico classify as "America", but it occupies a large portion of the North American Continent. I think what you mean is EEUU.

A layer or layers of something distinctive from what lies above and below, typically used to describe layers of sedimentary rock or some other sediment, but can also be used in any number of situations, literally or allegorically.
The athropocene epic will be seen, millions of years from now, as that layer of strata mostly made up of dissolved petrochemical waste, alloy rust, concrete powder and other relic substances of human technological dommination of the Earth.

Each Sunglass Hut is either a front for the mob, the Illuminati, or for some other secret organization.
How little sense it makes that they can stay in business, especially with the economy the way it is, just goes to show you how poorly disguised that something else is.
