Fucked Borrower. Very widely used in real estate blogs and informal circles. Refers to a formerly credit-rich but resource-strapped consumer who's collateral, savings, and foreseeable future income are below the value and terms of a loan they cannot sustain, refinance, or renegotiate. FB's face a bleak future of certain losses, and nearly certain bankruptcy, credit destruction, and long term cascading/follow-on financial and opportunity losses.
All those FBs and their greedy idiot lenders who bought houses with 100% down NINJA adjustable-rate mortgages in the so-called housing boom are dropping like flies!

The "Beach Ball of Death". On a modern Apple Macintosh, the spinning "beachball" graphic which replaces the mouse pointer when hovering over a window whose program has stopped responding. Somewhat analogous to the "BSOD" (Blue Screen of Death) on Windows-based computers. Usually BBOD applies when the entire Macintosh is so overburdened or one key program is so hopelessly hung up that rebooting is faster than waiting for the Mac to sort itself out.
I got the BBOD on my Mac when I had about fifty programs up and Firefox got obsessed with a seemingly bottomless web page.

A recent type of mortgages given to those with no apparent means and little to no chance of rendering repayment. NINJA is an acronym referring to the borrower as having No Income No Job or Assets.
The housing bubble was greatly helped by financially suicidal bankers issuing NINJA loans like candy to anyone who could fog a mirror!

A political buzzphrase used as a rhetorical talking-point in a power-grabbing or liberty-destroying attempt to diminish or subvert the civil libertarian, responsible, and democratic character of a community, group, or society.
The honoring of civil liberty, presumption of innocence and good faith, privacy, and freedom of speech and expression cannot be tolerated because we live in a post 9/11 world.

A Chinese-manufactured MP3/MP4 player with a case and form factor generally to closely resembling one or more models of Apple's iPod. ChiPods are generally a fraction of the cost of Apple's iPod, have generally equivalent but inferior implementations of iPod functionality, don't accept Apple-proprietary formats, and often include supersets of iPod features like larger screens, additional audio processing features, audio recording, additional data formats, and FM radios. However, chiPods are very rarely connector-compatible with iPods and won't attach to iPod docks, opting to instead use industry-standard interfaces. (Notably, Apple's iPods are also Chinese-made--a chiPod is a player which visually bears some resemblance to an iPod.)
I just got several chiPods today. Some of them look a lot like iPods, they aren't as cool to use, but work fine.
