Their latest advertising offered me 20% off of all of my dry cleaning, but I kept my pride and threw the coupon in the trash.

Grammar

An obsolete part of language in teenage America. Some people blame AIM, others blame TV.
I'm in an honors English class, yet the grammar in it is rather appalling. Misplaced commas, horrid spelling, and run-on sentences seem to be vital parts of English papers now. However, this may have to do with the fact that I attend a school in Georgia.

Sophisticate

Classy sophisticates like me use big words in our sentences. Did I say big? I meant polysyllabic. Polysyllabic!

Kim Jong II

An imaginary man who receives blame for problems he didn't even cause. Some people confuse this obscure character with North Korean leader Kim Jong Il. The last letter of the man's name is an 'L', not an 'i'.
Kim Jong II also has an imaginary father, Kim Jong I, along with a pretend sister, Kimberly Jong.

Bunt

In baseball, an purposely weak hit. There are two types of bunts:

Sacrifice (sac) bunt: The sac bunt is designed to move baserunners over to the next base. Doing so requires the fielders to throw the batter out at first base. A suicide squeeze is a sacrifice bunt designed to score a runner.

Bunt for a base hit: This bunt has no real name. It is a bunt designed to cross up the fielders and allow the batter to reach first base safely. A drag bunt is pulled down the baseline.
Rivas bunted Stewart over to third base, butting him in scoring position with only one out.
