A person who refuses to be a "conformist sheep", but usually just ends up conforming to a different standard than most people. In the 1950s, the "nonconformists" were the beakniks, in the 1960s there were hippies, in the 1970s freakers came along, in the 1980s punks and goths emerged as the new standard of nonconformity, etc.

Nowadays when somebody expresses sour grapes, it means that they put down something simply because they can't have it.

The original collectable card game (CCG), where players purchase packs of randomized cards and assemble decks used to compete against others. Animal Liberation Front. Basically an even more extremist version of PETA, the ALF places the lives of animals on or above the same level as human life. They routinely commit criminal acts such as arson, breaking and entering, and vandalism for their cause.
The ALF extremists relased a batch of infected monkeys into the city, causing an epidemic among the local population.
