Reference to controversial plan to build a Mosque and "community center" in New York City, near the site of Ground Zero. The controversy and outrage comes from the 9/11 terrorist attacks involving Muslims and the victims' families still in mourning. Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the man behind the plan, is either extremely insensitive to the 9/11 victims or a truly obscene terrorist sympathizer!
Many people were rightfully appalled when the Ground Zero Mosque received approval from the NYC building commission! Whether intentional or not, the location of Rauf's planned Mosque is really a bad idea.

After the primary she mounted a write-in campaign. After some dispute and a recount, Murkowski won re-election in the first sucessful write-in campaign in 50 years!

The heinous eCONomic policy called "trickle down economics" or Reganomics cut taxes on the big businesses and the rich. This shifted the tax burden to the middle class and tripled the national debt. Dennis Miller described "trickle down" best when he acknowledged this truth: "they admit it-- they're gonna piss on you!"
Along with the terrible eCONomic policy, Ronald Reagan worked to destroy unions (remember air traffic controllers' strike?) During the Reagan Administration, the U.S. backed Saddam Hussein during his war with Iran and helped to establish the Taliban to help Afganistan fight off the Soviet Union. (Funny how the G.O.P. changed course on this)

It is really fucked up that a bank can charge someone $2 to get access to their own money!
