n. A rapid-fire automatic weapon that emits a nearly-continuous stream of bullets.

dear leader

Proper noun. Personal epithet associated with either of two autocratic heads-of-state: Kim Jong-Il (N. Korea) or George W. Bush (United States).

"The Dear Leader spoke to the assembled farmworkers today, thanking them for being the pillars of this great and prosperous nation and exhorting them to even greater achievements, on pain of death by firing squad."

"Colbert spared no mercy for the tender feelings of the Dear Leader at the White House Press Corps dinner, but miraculously he has not yet been put to death by firing squad."

roundeye

n. Pejorative term for persons of the Caucasian race, purportedly in use among Asians. Refers to the racial difference in facial musculature that gives the eyes of Asians a more "squinty" aspect ratio than those of Caucasians. According to the stereotype, the roundeye is unintelligent, uneducated, and lazy.

"Chinese, we good at quantum physics. Roundeye, he not so good..."

corium

n. The lava of molten (or previously molten) nuclear fuel resulting from a reactor meltdown. A rather unpleasant material.

Following the meltdown at Springfield Unit I, Mr. Burns hired local schoolchildren at minimum wage to shovel the corium out of the reactor building.

n. An outspoken, irrational person with deeply-held, nominally conservative, political views. A person who chooses on principle to be flagrantly ignorant. A "right-wing nut".

Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, and Fred Phelps are examples of the wingnut element in modern America.

westinghouse

verb. westinghoused; westinghousing: fr. name of American inventor George Westinghouse. To put a person to death in an electric chair (which in early embodiments were operated from an AC power supply). The attachment of Mr. Westinghouse's name to the electric chair was a form of negative advertizing devised by Thomas Edison.

"The Rosenbergs were westinghoused at Sing Sing Prison yesterday for treason, and the bodies were sent to the morgue in nine-dollar pine caskets."

hair of the dog that bit me

Any alcoholic beverage, the consumption of which is supposed to clear up one's hangover from previous drinking (but will tend to have the opposite effect in reality). Origins of the phrase date back to medieval times, when hairs from a biting dog were put in the bite wound in the belief that this promoted healing.

Lloyd: What will you be drinking, sir?

Jack: Hair of the dog that bit me, Lloyd.

Lloyd: Bourbon on the rocks?

Jack: That'll do it.
