tatu

Correctly spelled as 't.A.T.u.' since they had to change their name because another act also had that name.

The pricise type of music they make is rather unclassifiable to me, drawing influences from genres like industrial rock, ambient and russian trance, combining that with sometimes soothing other times chaotic epic high female vocals. Using a wide range of instrumentsamples while sometimes relying on simple verse/chorus/verse/chorus structures also sometimes using immensely complex hard to crasp chaotic and outbursting epic structures.

t.A.T.u.'s reputation is that of 'lesbians', although they recently said that was not true. The question remains wether or not it was a commercial invention or a way to make same sex couples more accepted. As well: t.A.T.u. also messaged to make other somewhat sexually controversial activities seen as normal such as masturbation.

Musicology:

All t.A.T.u.'s English work is 4/4 messured. Melodies may differ from some simple 2 messure leads to ambient leads that can be 32 messures changing chord every 2 messures and chaotic industrial trance leads from 8-16 messures. The emotions differ from epic drama to semipsychological. The atmospheres are kept at a rather light level. The vocals are soothing or epicly chaotic. Respectively taking turns in singing from the two lead vocallists or making excellent usage from the fact that there are two lead vocallists singing lines in rapid succession and starting to sing before the other stopped singing. Harmonic complexity is mediocre and the heaviness of the melodies could be seen as easily accessible.
Me: I listen to tatu(t.A.T.u.) yes. It's the the best music there is but for popmusic the standard is unusually high and the style is unclassifiable, in a sense, they are the avant-garde of pop music.

Someone who listens to Ambient Black Metal and Dark Noise: Shut up, you don't know anything about music.

Stan

Dutch lover of extreme metal and extreme hardcore punk, used to play table tennis but abandoned the sport since, does not listen to dark ambient.

Known for his girly looks, and is often mistaken for a female. Although not so often anymore since he cut his hair short for 200 euros.

A drummer, and skilled in generating blast beats.
Noteable quotations from Stan:

"I demand perfection."

"We all like this."

"OH NOES!"

"I am not a girl."

"MAAAAAP."

"Drumcomputers are meggh3y.'

kvlt

Pronounced as 'cult'. kvlt is a way in the blackmetal scene - amongst other scences in which the philosophy houses that if less people know the work of art you want/pretend to like because less people know it your penis is bigger, to say that a work of art is terrible obscure and to live under the believe that that automatically makes a work of art better.

This philosphy is a stunning piece of reasoning and has kept me under the believe since I was 14 that the x-zillion types of unknown genres and obscure music I listen to is in fact better because it doesn't even sound like music anymore and it still works perfect.

So get your kvltness today.
Me: "This new Vinterriket album is kvlt as fuck."

True blackmetaller: "stfu"

Me: "Roling on the picklecrown, laughing. Don't use internet abreviations."

metal

A shitty form of popular music on which virtually all subgenres rely on the 'as long as it sounds catchy' philosphy. Truly, atrocious popular youthmusic from which the listeners actually think its underground. A few subgenres that do not apply to that rule are technical metal, math metal and black metal

Metal relies on simple musical theory. Simple rithms, and certainly does not ask much virtuosis from the perform artist as well as compositional ability from the composer.

Some genres that would rise above this atrocity that is metal would be:

dark noise
tech trance
europian classical music
psybient
Metaller: I listen to metal, I'm so underground.

Me: Inferiour troglodyte. What does it matter if you are underground? and let me tell you that you are not. Everyone knows your Children of Bodom and your Dry Kill Logic.

black metal

Wow, what I read on this page about black metal is probably the biggest nonsense since what I've read here about trance music.

The difference between black and death metal is not the vocals, there is plenty of black metal that is even clean sung. Black metal is not about extreme metal, about blastbeats, in fact: a lot of well respected black metal bands avoid blastbeats all together. Black metal is not about satanism, that's just the popular poserblack. Sensible bands try to avoid satanism all together and utilze other themes 'winter' is an often used one.

Black metal is not about anti popmusic, or anti electronic music. True black metal is linked to electronic genres such as ambient, noise and industrial and encorporates elements from that.

So what defines black metal?

What sets black metal appart from death metal is effectively (for the record) what sets trance appart from techno & what sets ambient appart from lounge.

Namely: More monotone, more rooted in classical music theory, less rithmic, more atmospherical, more about the emotion, less about the grooves and melodies that function as a chordprogression.
Noteable black metal albums:

Arcuturs - Aspera Hiems Symfonia
Vinterriket - Der Letzte Winter
Ulver - Bergtatt
Darkspace - Dark Space I
The Kovenant - Nexus Polaris

mozart

The most overated musician ever. Mozart is what is called: 'Mainstream Classical' other types like this are Bach and Beethoven etc. This is classical for people who've listened to nothing better. Modernday tranceproducer Arksun is musically more skilled than Mozart was in his day. Just because Mozart was the greatest of his days he is still remembert as a the musical genious of times but he is not, There are musicians far more skilled than mozart was nowadays. I like classical, don't get me wrong, yet Mozart is certainly not the musical genious he is acclaimed to be.

asperger's syndrome

A syndrome which as it's causes and ouputs questioned by many if it is a syndrome not too that those people know nothing of psychology and medicine.

It is a fact that all asperger's miss a certain type of protein in their blood so it can't be a subjective matter, it is indeed caused by the 'disfunction' of something.

Of course you have all kinds of asperger's even some that can function in a normal invironment and claim the decease is not understood and that they are misintepreted and wronged. Erm well.. 50 years ago I wouldn't have been an asperger, my reluctance to make eyecontact or my agression towards people that don't use SI units would have just been beaten out of me, and because that wouldn't work I would've been marked as stubborn. Now I'm getting extra (money costing) help by the goverment to guide me in my life so shut the frogpie up that asperger's isn't understoot, that's nonsense. Of course on the other hand you have the people that fail too see that it is in fact a disorder caused by a genetic imperfection that alters the way the mind of the specimen works.

It is not the case that it are character traits everyone has, that's how it would apear to someone unfamilair with psychology, asperger's have totally different motivations. For instance some won't like being touched, not because they don't like the person but because they are oversensity to stimulus and a shock goes through their entire body when they are touched, others will defend themselves when they are neared in a way that would seem as if they don't like the person nearing them while really the see it as if the person is trying to attack them.
As early as 2 years old they noticed I couldn't make normal contact, at 4 year old it was shown that my intellect was unusually high, at 6 years old I was heavely depressed at school and frustrated and affraid of the children around me without realising that myself. At 8 years old I was put into and institute which labled me an asperger's syndromer, now, seventeen years old with antipsychotics medication I can to somewhat of an extend have friendships although they aren't really healthy because I'm always paranoid about the intentions of my friends though I try to ignore that. Eventually I'll study physics.

(Really happened)
