A city doesn't need to be like any other city. If people want to gamble, they go to Vegas, they don't need a casino in every other city like Detroit or Kansas City, there's already enough casinos to go around. Charleston doesn't need to try to be Vegas and Vegas doesn't need to try to be Charleston. Atlanta doesn't need to try to become New York or Chicago. Nashville doesn't doesn't need to try and become Atlanta. A city that is content to be what it is, but not to stagnate or fall asleep should be enough, though you know some people are always going to expect things to expand and be done to excess.

Get the Excessmug. A standard that is higher for one sex than another is a double standard. Feminism is full of double standards.
It's a double standard to think that a female who can't feed her kid because her tits got cut off by a machete is more devastating to the planet than five hundred males who got their genitals mutilated before they were beheaded. A way of thinking that one sex is more necessary to the future of the human race somehow, or that one sex should be treated as more righteous than the other.

Get the Double standardmug. An election between one candidate who has spent most of his entire life compromising, and the other who has spent most of his entire life trying to force other people to compromise. They're both weak in opposite ways. It's a lot like choosing between a junkie and a drug dealer, neither candidate is better or worse, they're both as much part of the problem as everybody else.
