A whydom is commonly referred to as 'the riot of why?'. As decripit as this seems, whydoms have kinda died down according to my friend but he always says there is no other perfect time for a whydom other than May the 22nd.

Basically the equivelent of either preserved ashes from the crementation process (or due to a horrible natural disaster caused by fire) from a long time ago or the equivilent of dying due to old age.
