An initial helping of off-color subject-matter to make da remainder of da presentation seem less insipid.

If a speech-maker actually feels da need to always include a prelewd in order to attract an audience, perhaps he needs to seriously ask himself if what he has to say is really all dat important, and/or if he should compose better-worded scripts in order to maintain his listeners' attention.
