Salam
Peace in Arabic. Used as a common greeting by Arabs of all religions and by non-Arab Muslims, usually in the form of the sentence As-salamu alaykum, which literally mean "Peace be upon you". It is customary to respond with Wa Ężalaykumu s-salam, which means "and may peace be upon you too".
