Nice Guys Finish Last

A saying that “Nice Guys” use to explain why they don’t have a girlfriend. Being too stupid to realize the real reason is because they are feel sorry for themselves and blame others for their lack of success in life, not because they are “too nice”. See Nice Guy.

Men who say “nice guys finish last” almost always seem to follow it up with how women enjoy being treated like shit showing their true misogynistic colors.

Psychopomp

Literally means "guide of the soul". A psychopomp is a conductor of people's souls who have passed, on escorting them to an afterlife. Depending on your beliefs, can be a god such as Odin or Anubis, an animal spirit such as a Raven, an Angel or Valkyrie, a loved one who has crossed over, or perhaps the most well known psychopomp of them all...the Grim Reaper.

In Greek mythology Charon was the ferryman of Hades, conducting the souls of the dead, as any psychopomp would, to their destination.

Big-box store

A Big-Box Store is a large, free standing rectangular single floor store built on a concrete slab. They are incredibly wasteful and ugly to look at having no aesthetic value what so ever. Typically have very large parking lots with no trees.

Also sometimes called a superstore, megastore, or supercenter.

Walmart is a good example of a big-box store.

Frith

Frith is an Old English word that means Peace and Freedom; but means so much more. It is an important concept in the religion of Asatru. It might be described as a combination of loyalty, honor, hospitality, and support. It is the obilgation to one's community, friends, and family to consider their welfare in your actions, and not to set out to harm them.

Our forebears valued frith almost more than anything else.
