the valley
noun. short for "The San Fernando Valley", an section of the City of Los Angeles, touching the north/west border of LA county. population 2.5mil (approx).
the closer to the edges of the valley you get (the hills), the nicer (more expensive) the property is. the closer to the center of the valley you get (Reseda, Van Nuys, etc), the more ghetto it gets.
The valley used to be agricultural (1930-50's) then became a suburb, then more recently has become more industrial and is becoming more urban.
Home to the largest Porn industry in the world (see chatsworth), the worlds most used road (the 101 freeway) and so much more. The valley is said to be where the excessive use of the word "like" first originated, but the rest of teen america seems to have picked that up now too.

L.A. people constantly bad mouth the valley, but every time it tries to become it's own city, they vote that shit down, cus they know how much they need the bundles of money the SFV brings in to keep their over-populated schools, over-used roads and everything else running

verb. to scroll up. sed in Instant Message conversations, generally during an arguement or debate of some kind. one person will tell the other to "scroll up" in reference to something they have said earlier in the conversation, implying that the other person may need to use the scroll bar to go back and re-read what has already been said.

noun. www.myspace.com, a website that allow individuals to set up a page displaying their personal information, pics and blogs and allows connection of these pages to one another by adding "friends".
Used by many different types of people including: lonely single men, street racing crews, lonely emo teens, garage bands and djs, bored people, people with too much time on their hands, party crews, asians, hot chicks, people that want others to think they're hot chicks, and people with giant egos.

meatmarket
noun. a place or situation with the sole (stated or not stated) purpose of facilitating interaction of individuals for sexual/romantic activities.
The term draws parallels between real meat markets, where meat is hung up and displayed in plain view for people to look at, judge the quality of, and make decisions of whether to buy or not, and the atmosphere of many nightclubs/bars that are only seemingly in existance so individuals can display themselves to others for judgement and "aquisition", and likewise, size up and attempt to "aquire" others.
