Deja Coup — the surreal realization that two years to the day after the attempted American Insurrection, the same congressmen who were instrumental in the attack on our democracy successfully made a bid for legitimate power on key congressional committees.
And on January 8th 2023 — two years and two days after the American Inssurection — history rhymed when followers of Jair Bolsonaro followed the same game plan in Brazil attacking their Capitol building as Bolsonaro looked on in safety from Florida eating chicken fajitas. He was later hospitalized for plausible deniability — the political equivalent of a mobster being at a wedding when a major “hit” takes place.
This is the psychological equivalent of a Vietnam era combat veteran being taken deep into a swamp to watch a fireworks display.
Some attribute the world wide rise of a militant and violent right to Steve Bannon; but, others say that he is just a highly mobile pimple on the ass of “this is how it’s always been.”
If you were a writer and submitted this as a plot for a novel; your editor would call you a hack and tell you that your writing was heavy handed.
This is the kind of world we’ve made!

Get the deja coup mug.You Come at the King, You Best Not Miss! — The is one of the most famous lines from the George Pellicanos / David Simon series The Wire. Originally spoken by Street King and “drug dealer robber” Omar Little to the drug gang hit man Roland “Wee-Bey” Brice after Brice unsuccessfully tries to collect the bounty on Omar’s head in an ambush.
After the Brice is wounded and his crew is killed, Omar leaves Wee-Bey conspicuously alive uttering the famous words:
“Yo Bey, the lesson here is: You Come at the King, You Best Not Miss!”
Amazingly years after The Wire series ran, this line is now being quoted verbatim by the American News Media in the general direction of lawmakers attempting to bring Donald J. Trump to justice.
I don’t know which is more paradoxical: hearing a White woman say this while affecting a Baltimore Black-cent; or, that this warning is being given to lawmakers about a former president of the United States.
Wow…now, y’all got the briefcase AND the gun.

In this variation an individual thinks that he is more important than the life of an entire organization. He or she finds out the hard way that although there is no “I” in team; there is certainly an “I” in the word “fired”!!!!!!!!!
The variation “Tuck around and find out!” Is of cours dedicated to Tucker Carlson who took the fall for Fox News in the Dominion Law suit. His termination was based on a stratagem employed by Napoleon Bonaparte:
“Kill a few, it will inspire the rest”.
It seems clear the Carlson may have been the first of many to “ Tuck around and find out!” but according to the traditional use of this stratagem HE WILL NOT BE THE LAST.
Carlson’s name provides a beautiful and ironic onomatopoeia reference to the original term because if “tuck around and find out” we’re a person; it would look like Tucker Carlson.
This reminds me of another of Napoleon’s maxims:

An alternative appellation for Ron DeSantis and an amazing example of shade being cast in broad daylight.
Pudding fingers is an extremely sly way of saying that Ron DeSantis “digs in Donald Trump’s ass” for tactics and a manufactured personae that even include copying Trump’s hand gestures.
On the surface this appellation of Ron DeSantis refers to his habit of eating pudding with his fingers. But, for those conversant in contemporary sexual slang imagery and practices, this is a superimposition of DeSantis’ personal eating habits with the slang term for digital stimulation of the anus during copulation of oral stimulation in both homosexual and heterosexual sex.
Figure out how that works yourself!
The MAGA PAC dropped the “Pudding Fingers Ad” with the provocative tagline: “Ron DeSantis — he loves putting his fingers where they don’t belong. “
No judgement — some people like “oysters and snails”; but, something tells me that some very colorful people support Trump from this PAC.
And let’s not forget that “President Pussy Grabber” also had a penchant for “putting his hands where they didn’t belong” as well. I hesitate in creating a term for what he liked to eat with his fingers or the outcome of his civil case for doing the same.

The only possibility for saving Democracy is coalition building across racial, gender, religious, economic, and political lines with the conscious intention of saving Democracy so that we all can fight about it later.
The danger of being TRIBAL in a GLOBAL world is the possibility of Global Thermonuclear Annihilation — an Existential Vampire that has found a way to gather its ashes; reattach its severed head; remove the stake from its heart; and anoint these remains with the blood of the Ukrainian People — who are currently fighting a proxy war for our freedom.
We can all be a little bigger; or we can all be cinders scattered on a cinder. If we can’t fight the raging fires caused by climate change and the environmental damage of the earth 🌍; then I’m pretty sure we don’t have a solution for the fires caused by tactical nuclear weapons.
