Gnome 

I WM for linux, imho i think it is the best, because of its scalability, usefullity, very nice, and good. So I highly recommend Linux users to run Gnome as their primary WM.

Its the best IRC-client for Linux. Its textbased and you run it in a terminal.

Its a WM for Linux, its small and you can surely run it on i486. Its not sucking memory and its easy.
