a reply of acknowledgement, a verbal abbreviation of "I got you", which is derived from "I got what you're saying".

me: "I'm staying in tonight."
her: "why? you not feeling well?"
me: "nope. I'm cuffed."
her: "gotcha. oh well don't worry about it. I got cash. I'll be there in 5, see you soon."
me: "sweet."

1)describing a situation that is diverse or disorganized.

2)describing a person with a wide range of skills or interests.

1)we can't stay in business if our finances are gonna be all over the map like this.

2)if you travel all over the world, you could end up being all over the map.

redundant and repetitive way of saying "the same old thing" or "nothing new"

a remark made to something said that is typical or falls under Murphy's Law.

to leave or get away from somewhere, usually in a quick or urgent nature.

can also be worded in the form of a direct order.

"It's gettin kinda late, we oughta make tracks pretty soon."

"tell those guys to make tracks, they just can't crash a party uninvited!"
