Chicago's Alternative. Created 1992, 101.1 on the dial. Played some great music. In the later years it did have a problem with overplaying certain songs, but always knew when to surprise listeners with great songs they hardly play.
In June 2011, Randy Michaels, former CEO of Chicago-based Tribune Co. purchased the station (along with another Chicago based station 97.9 The Loop) and announced plans to turn the format into a News-Talk station on August 1st. However, all normal programming stopped on July 14, with former DJs returning and many older songs rarely played anymore being played. The final show ended just after midnight, with music being played without DJs until July 18.

Get the Wheatleymug. Awesome 2005 documentary directed by metalhead Sam Dunn, an anthropoligist from British Columbia. The film studies many topics relating to Heavy Metal, including:
-Who the very first Heavy Metal band is (widely believed to be Black Sabbath, as suggested in the film) as well as the roots of metal
-The backgrounds of Heavy Metal musicians and their fans
-Gender and sexuality roles in Metal
-Why a lot of bands have faced problems with censorship due to their lyrical content, album art, and live shows
-Satanic and/or anti-christian beliefs followed by a handful of Norweigian Black Metal bands, as well as other views on religion, satanism, and other controversial topics when associated with metal.
People interviewed include (but are NOT limited to) Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Lemmy of Motorhead, James "Munky" Shaffer" of Korn, Ronnie James Dio, Corey Taylor and Joey Jordinson of Slipknot, Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer, Gaahl of Gorgoroth, Alex Webster and George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher of Cannibal Corpse, and many other metal musicians and producers, as well as multiple fans, socioligists, and even one minister.
The film is a largely independent film with limited theatrical release, so very few are totally familiar with it. A sequal entitled "Global Metal" was released in 2008, which is probably just as good but even less known.

Get the Metal: A Headbanger's Journeymug. A family that opens their Christmas presents on Christmas Eve night as opposed to Christmas morning. Usually done in families with no young kids that believe in Santa Claus and/or cannot wait for the next morning.
I spent christmas break with my girlfriend's family and saw that they're Christmas eve openers since they have no kids under 11.

Get the Christmas Eve Openersmug. The lamest cartoon ever made, which makes it even sadder that this show and The Fairly Oddparents are the only two remaining shows of Nickelodeon's good years. A show about an annoying sea-sponge and his equally annoying friends with plots and "jokes" that make every kid in America think they can get whatever they want by going through life acting like a brain-dead moron.
Watching Spongebob Squarepants is very dangerous to one's intellect. My friend watched an episode last month and forgot how to use the toilet for a week.

Get the Spongebob Squarepantsmug. Very talented and attractive Albanian-American actress and poet best known as Carmen on The George Lopez Show for the show's first five seasons.
Masiela Lusha is drop dead gorgeous and a great actress. The George Lopez show really went to hell after she left.

Get the Masiela Lushamug. A College Town in western Wisconsin on the Mississippi River. Essentially a small town with many elements of a big city. A nice place for people who want an escape from the city but not city life altogether. Plenty to do year round, though mostly in Summer and Winter.
