Known outside of Japan as Digimon season 1, arguably the high point of the entire Digimon franchise. The story follows seven (later eight) kids who after experiencing a snowstorm at their summer camp, are transported to the 'Digital World' and are befriended by Digimon creatures who assist them in getting back to their own world, but later find themselves fighting forces that threaten not only the Digital world, but their own as well.
Digimon adventure is not only a great kids anime, it's a fantastic story on it's own, filled with great action and lots of emotion to keep viewers interested. Everything related to Digimon after was a bitter disappointment. Digimon adventure 02 (season 2), a direct sequel to the first season, was really good but a letdown compared to the first. Every other season after should not even be considered part of the same franchise.

Get the Digimon Adventuremug. 1. Something intended so that all members of the family, little kids, older kids (ages 10-teen) kids, parents, and grandparents can enjoy.
2. Codeword used by conservative nutjobs to ban gay rights/marriage, prevent Marijuana legalization, outlaw most Rock music, Heavy Metal and Rap, or at least get it censored, make video games age-restricted, try to get multiple shows and movies like South Park, Beavis and Butthead, Pokemon, and the Harry Potter movies banned or restricted, and shove religion down everyone's throats.

1. We had my young cousins over last night and had to sit through a Family-Friendly movie. Honestly it wasn't that bad and it was a lot more pleasant than school.
2. Conservative nutjob: Thanks to our efforts, we are on the way to creating a more family-friendly nation full of war but free from homosexuality, harmless drugs that would help our economy, music, and anything else that does not promote christianity unto everyone

Get the Family-Friendlymug. It means something different depending on age group:
0-3: Too young to understand
4-9: Best day of your life
10-14: Day you're treated better than usual
15-19: Day opposite sex is more likely to put out
20-death: Day to celebrate a year closer to death*
*Exceptions is with your 21st Birthday due to it being the legal age of adult and you are now considered old enough to consume alcohol legally and some age in your mid-sixties due to being old enough to retire.

Get the Birthdaymug. 14-year old kid from Boston (orignally from Scotland) who earned his 15 minutes of fame on Youtube with the video "Declaration of War against Justin Bieber Haters" in which he threatens to hack anyone on the site he sees making fun of Justin Bieber in any way, shape, or form. He appeared in the video with an American gay accent (even though he's a bit of a homophobe). The video caused a huge fallout, in which he posted more videos asserting he was continuing with the "war" until November 20, in which he posted a teary-eyed apology, speaking in his normal Scottish accent, saying that his video basically ruined his life and left him totally traumatized. He still posts videos and still says he's a Justin Bieber fan, though all his videos after the "war" mostly relate to his religion.

Get the ericdouglacemug. Fox network's sunday night line-up. Went through different phases/names before settling on the current one. Played great shows in the past like The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Futurama, and even non-animated shows like Malcolm in the Middle. Unfortunately the programming block has been ruined by many mistakes:
-The ongoing of The Simpsons to the point where it is unfunny
-The cancellations of Futurama, Malcolm in the Middle, and King of the Hill
-Seth Macfarlane's domination of the block: As of May 2011 there are four shows on the block and three of them are Macfarlane's (and he currently has a fourth one in production)

I haven't watched the Animation Domination sunday night block on FOX since they cancelled "King of the Hill".

Get the Animation Dominationmug. A fucking chickenshit facist. Believes the government should interfere with every aspect of every citizen's personal lives in order to shape the Country to relfect his-and only his-personal views, which would basically mean making it mandatory for all U.S. citizens to become practicing Christians. Was also the first major name in the 2012 Presidential Campaign to propose a ban on Porn-which the Supreme Court would've obviously declared unconstitutional (unless he appointed only his fellow Conservative Bible thumpers).

Get the Rick Santorummug. Awesome 2005 documentary directed by metalhead Sam Dunn, an anthropoligist from British Columbia. The film studies many topics relating to Heavy Metal, including:
-Who the very first Heavy Metal band is (widely believed to be Black Sabbath, as suggested in the film) as well as the roots of metal
-The backgrounds of Heavy Metal musicians and their fans
-Gender and sexuality roles in Metal
-Why a lot of bands have faced problems with censorship due to their lyrical content, album art, and live shows
-Satanic and/or anti-christian beliefs followed by a handful of Norweigian Black Metal bands, as well as other views on religion, satanism, and other controversial topics when associated with metal.
People interviewed include (but are NOT limited to) Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Lemmy of Motorhead, James "Munky" Shaffer" of Korn, Ronnie James Dio, Corey Taylor and Joey Jordinson of Slipknot, Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer, Gaahl of Gorgoroth, Alex Webster and George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher of Cannibal Corpse, and many other metal musicians and producers, as well as multiple fans, socioligists, and even one minister.
The film is a largely independent film with limited theatrical release, so very few are totally familiar with it. A sequal entitled "Global Metal" was released in 2008, which is probably just as good but even less known.

Brad thinks Nickelback is Metal, so I'm going to show him "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" to teach him what real metal is about.
