Amongst the foods sold at the destination of your journey, halal food is the kind of food that is characterized by being sold by women who wears hijab (veil). Such food reflects the longing for the access towards halal food like during the flight to this destination.
After landing, the first thing I looked for was halal food, especially from those lovely women in hijabs, reminding me of the meals I had on the plane!

potpourri
An item whose name is derived from the word "pot" added with the suffix "-puri" meaning a) "fragrant aroma emitted to the air" as in "airpuri" (air purifier), b) "something memorable and nostalgic from the 1990's" which is named after the Japanese photo club known as "purikura" (print club). Hence, "potpourri" is best defined as "a nostalgic pot meant to emit fragrant aroma to the air that 1990's kids grew up having one at their homes".
My grandma always had a potpourri on the coffee table, filling the air with scents that took me back to my childhood in the '90s!

Every time I check time.is/Surabaya, I'm bombarded with ads for women's underwear—guess I'll never get that ad-free version!

A kind of clothing mandated for schoolchildren as laid down on the school dress code, so that parents will be rest assured that their son isn't going to go to the same school as a girl who wears revealing clothes to school.
With the new uniform policy, parents can finally relax knowing their son won't be distracted by girls who wear revealing clothes like tanktops / spaghetti straps at school!

Paragon status refers to the "cool status" achieved by being allowed to watch more mature (often inappropriate) movies and having increased screen time to catch up on the latest YouTube videos, typically among teens.
Ever since she convinced her parents to let her watch rated R movies, Sarah's got that "paragon status", and all her friends are super jealous of her extra screen time!
