Slothful Reward Bias
A manipulative tactic where someone offers a monetary or tangible reward not as a genuine incentive for a task, but as a trap to completely discredit you. The tests or challenges are designed by the reward-giver to be unwinnable or rigged, giving them total control over the narrative. When you fail to meet their impossible standards, they use your attempt to claim the reward as "proof" of your incompetence, greed, or bad faith, thus achieving their real goal of destroying your credibility.
Example: "He offered me $10,000 to build a website in a weekend, with specs that would take a team of five a month. It wasn't a job offer; it was pure Slothful Reward Bias."

Negative Thermodynamics
The state of a system where energy feels absent or actively draining, leading to a state of total motivational stasis. It’s not just cold; it’s the absence of the potential for heat. This is the feeling of being so burned out that you can’t even muster the energy to be bored. It’s the absolute zero of ambition, where the concept of "getting started" is as alien as the concept of absolute hot. It’s the thermodynamic state of a phone with a dead battery in a room with no outlets.
Example: "After that week from hell, I entered a state of negative thermodynamics. I wasn't tired, I was just energetically inert."

Anti-Thermodynamics
The act of trying to create a system that defies the normal flow of energy, usually with questionable results. It’s the belief that you can have your cake, eat it, and have it magically reappear. In a practical sense, it’s the attempt to get more work out of a system than you put into it, like expecting to get rich by sleeping or hoping a toxic friendship will suddenly become healthy without any input. It’s the force behind every get-rich-quick scheme and perpetual motion machine.
Example: "My boss is practicing anti-thermodynamics; he expects me to produce twice the work with half the resources and no pay raise."

Retrothermodynamics
The psychological experience of feeling energy and motivation flow backward. In normal thermodynamics, heat flows from hot to cold. In retrothermodynamics, your weekend motivation mysteriously drains into the void of your upcoming Monday. It’s the law that dictates how your excitement for a project evaporates the moment you sit down to work, only to reappear when you're trying to fall asleep. It’s the science of why the battery in your brain is always at 1% when you need it most.
Example: "I had all this energy to go to the gym after work, but by the time 5 PM hit, retrothermodynamics had pulled all that heat into my couch."

Negative Entropy
Often confused with anti-entropy, negative entropy is the result of successful anti-entropy: a state of increased order and complexity. It’s a pocket of the universe where things are more structured than they should be, like a crystal forming in a solution or a Wikipedia page existing in a sea of random facts. It's the measure of how much a system has defied the odds to become more organized. You can't create order from nothing, but you can create a localized zone where order is king.
Example: "That perfectly organized spreadsheet is a bastion of negative entropy in the chaotic hellscape of my Google Drive."

Anti-Entropy
The active, deliberate force or process that fights against the natural slide into disorder. It’s not just the absence of chaos, but the work required to maintain a system. In a universe that prefers randomness, anti-entropy is the effort of tidying up, debugging code, or patching a relationship. It’s the conscious application of energy to keep things from falling apart. While entropy is the universe's default setting, anti-entropy is the workaround.
Example: "My will to live is the only thing holding back the entropy of this apartment. Every dish I wash is an act of pure anti-entropy."

Retroentropy
The unsettling feeling that order isn't moving forward, but backward. It’s the perception that systems are becoming more organized into a state that is functionally worse, more chaotic, or more oppressive. While regular entropy measures the trend toward disorder, retroentropy describes a universe where things are snapping into a horrifyingly rigid, but ultimately more useless, form of order. It’s the feeling that your computer's files aren't just getting scrambled, but are rearranging themselves into a perfect, unopenable, and menacing grid.
Example: "My room was a mess, but after my mom 'cleaned' it, I can't find anything. It’s not entropy, it’s retroentropy—a perfectly organized chaos that serves no one."
