herocop

A person involved in any type of law enforcement, that intervenes, going above and beyond the normal call of when he or she observes something truly wrong about to be done, as the result of systematic failure, typically preventing an innocent person or persons from being wrongly arrested, detained, or in any way negatively affected needlessly. It typically implies that the person has taken a risk to some extent, and was later indemnified and looked upon as a true hero of society, possibly being the first to leave footprints for others to follow in similar situations.
Officer McDonald is a true herocop for preventing a travesty of justice that would have otherwise occurred if the person's residence was needlessly visited or stormed to apprehend the person that was falsely accused.

It has been used in politics by media outlets and other organizations, and competing political groups.
The gang-stalkers, which included doctors and lawyers, intentionally and deceptively tried to stir up the individual and gangravate the person with the intent to incite or goad a reaction, which they could film and present in a court of law in order to misrepresent the true character of the person, and make earlier false testimony appear more plausible, believable, and acceptable.
