Adjective, meaning treacherous, deceitful, etc.

To corner somebody physically, to cut off their retreat. Australian slang.

If you've spent too long in the sun (or the supermarket), as many out-of-doors Australians have, this becomes an expression of endearment. Similar to the oft maligned mate.

Apparently, this is used somewhere in Australia but I haven't heard of it and I live in WA. Sounds pretty backwater.
