soak

Driving a bus very closely to the previous bus on the route. This causes the driver of the bus behind you on the route to pick up all the passengers you should have.

Having a double load of passengers in your bus makes it hot and everyone including you prespires. You get soaked.

"Dave's gonna be pissed at me. I soaked him all the way up to the loop."

spamdex

To add words that are frequently queried in Internet search engines to make your site come up in unrelated searches. The words are often hidden as text the same colour as the background.

Probably from Wired's Jargon Watch.

"I spamdexed the word 'sex' 200 times in the home page"

meater 

Someone who goes fishing only to catch food and not for the sport.

Used derisively by sport fishermen.

"That guy hasn't put anything back all day. What a meater."

wage slave

Someone who earns only enough at their job to pay basic expenses.

Sometimes refered to as 'working poor'.

"Retirement savings?! I'm a wage slave. I make $5 an hour."

clocktower therapy 

To deal with frustration by going on a shooting spree. Used as a way of describing a very high level of frustration.

"I'm so glad I can take a couple of weeks off or I'd be ready for some clocktower therapy."

greasle 

A diesel engine which has been modified to burn animal or vegetable oil.

"I drove the greasle cross country by bumming used french fry oil from restaurants."

functionally American 

A Canadian (or other non-American I suppose) who gets most of their culture from American television, music and other media.

"Do you wear that U of Michigan jersey because you went to school there or are you just functionally American?"
