Crawler

A name change for the Rake when it got ousted as being made-up in the labs of 4Chan. Blamed for disappearances in National Parks. Crawlers and Rakes gain their credibility from real sightings made up of deer, dogs, large water fowls knocking over belongings while making screeching noises, racoons looking through peoples windows, and mangey black bears at night in the woods of USA, seeing patterns in things that aren't really what they look like, murder cover ups, and wolves or people taking children. In the sense that crawlers crawl, the description of 'crawler' is accurate.

I saw a Crawler 5 years ago. At least now I think I did since I saw a picture of it on the internet that was definitely not from a photoshop competition and turned into a trail cam image, even though at the time I thought it was probably just a deer. Yes I what I saw definitely was a Crawler. I have put a salt circle around my house and anointed my bedroom with holy water and every night shake in my bed under the covers until morning. I have garlic coated silver pellets loaded into my shotgun just in case.

Fake news

A technique used by dishonest journalists where they exaggerate, sensationalise, slant or cherry pick for the sake of making headlines or propagating a certain agenda (usually) without ever actually lying. Journalists also sometimes cut, rearrange or take out of context what has been said by a spokesperson, sometimes using questions to invoke the desired response. The BBC, NBC and CNN love fake news. It is their bread and butter.

Using this term for satirical or alternative news should be avoided as this can dilute its effectiveness in calling out real fake news. Although similar, fake news shouldn’t be confused with misinformation as that refers to the spread of unproven, unreliable or otherwise poorly researched information rather than the purpose driven distortion of facts that is fake news.

Typical of modern medicine, focusing on curing symptoms rather than their cause.

Patient: Won't I die?
Doctor: Yes but you will not have any more heart attacks.
Patient: *walks out* I don't know if I want band-aid medicine. Maybe I will just lay off the Mickey D's.

To clip the stream of a new finding in a video game and share it so that others may experiment with it in their own gameplay.
Commonly used in speedrunning, where the finding is a glitch or other action to be used in a speedrun.
