Developed from the word Scrooge after the christmas character who hated all things Christmas. Scrooginess is a state of being like a "Scrooge" Kill Joy, mean spirited, wet blanket, fun burglar, downer, character when proclaiming personal distaste for anything based on the Christmas holiday theme.
