A general term for one who participates in either track and field or cross country. They are often runners but may include jumpers and throwers. Trackies are part of a very close knit community and are often considered slightly cultish. They enjoy haning out in large groups, dating each other, playing games like CTF, Ultimate, and Red Rover, and of course running. Trackies and drama geek do not mix well.

Someone who takes part in cross-country and or track at their univeristy or high schol. Usually tall, thin (unless a sprinter, in that case you are big black, and can run fast) and seen in the masses at local pizza joints eating a solid seven slices or running the streets for many an hour on sunday mornings. Are known for throwing sweet fests (see parties)and having hot girls on the distance team. Hated by football and lacrosse players and basically people who can't run. A "trackie" can be described as individual who is completely obsessed with track and/or cross country. A trackie knows anything and everything about running. You can see a trackie talking to every runner in the area and knowing everything about their running history. A trackie is also condsidered a track/cross country nerd.
"Oh, that girl that is seeded first runs a 4:40.35 1500. She's my idol."
"You know everything about everyone you trackie."

Get the trackies mug.
n. - A term often used in underground techno and house music circles to describe an electronic composition which is at it's core usually a repeating 1, 2, or 4-bar loop. The purpose of this is to allow a DJ to quickly and effectively mix the record with any other record in a set without having to pay particularly close attention to one record's fills or changes over time (also known as phrasing).
