taste slop
The mass-produced imitation of good taste. When everything looks curated, sophisticated, and on-trend, but nothing has an original point of view. Think algorithm-approved aesthetics, copy-paste minimalism, and expensive objects bought to look culturally relevant. Not necessarily ugly or cheap — just a recycled version of what good taste is supposed to look like.
“Another beige apartment with a Noguchi lamp, a wavy mirror, and a coffee-table book nobody reads. It’s giving taste slop.”
