They gravitate toward high-visibility venues that embody the influencer economy, especially venture-capitalist slop restaurants—VC-funded, image-forward eateries where meals and ambience double as social-performance content. The term is used by outsiders as a pejorative label within the story’s universe, not as a factual description of real people.
