Reactive Listening

The art of trying to appear to be listening to someone, but just reacting to the last thing they said in an agreeing manner.
I was talking to my buddy Bob about my daily grind with work, and my wife making a big deal about the "hassle" taking our daughter to Disney Land.

He replied with "Yeah, Disney Land can be pretty stressful." ... He totally missed my point, typical Reactive Listening!

Reactive laziness examples:

Me - Yo m8 its your turn to cook.
RL - "fuck that i will call a takeaway"

Me - come on its to go to the pub

Me - but its only 2 streets away
RL - "SO? if no cab then i aint going"

reactive acne

If someone injures themself (in this case, typically a burn from carpet, grass or perhaps trampoline) and your body reacts to it in a bad way, you can get reactive acne. It’s a type of acne that spreads like a rash along your legs or arms (depending where you had the injury). If you see a case of reactive acne appearing anywhere else on your body, it is NOT normal. Please go see a doctor, or make sure it’s definitely reactive acne first.
Reanna fell on the trampoline and scraped her knee. Therefore, reactive acne spread across all her legs.

reactive attachment disorder

What can happen when you basically neglect you child's social/emotional needs. They develop this mental illness and become extremely insecure, immature and problematic, and get a really low self-esteem. If not treated, they can self-harm and become manchildren with an inferiority complex and constantly tantrum like a severely autistic child, and the disorder becomes very hard or just impossible to cure.
I regret neglecting my daughter. She developed this "reactive attachment disorder" and she had to be put in foster care because she went crazy.

Reactive Index

Reactive index is the correlation of sensory stimuli experienced and its corresponding physiological and physical response or reaction, by any living being. Reactive index will be used to understand the relationship between brain, body, and their functions, thus assess, predict, and alter abilities and behavior exhibited by living beings.
We are looking for people with high Reactive Index.

Reactive Harassment

A tactic in which a perpetrator provokes or baits a target until the target responds with frustration or anger, then immediately frames that response as “harassment” to get the target punished. The perpetrator’s own prior provocation is concealed or denied, leaving only the target’s reactive outburst visible. On platforms like Discord and Reddit, this is a common way to weaponize reporting systems: the harasser stays within platform rules while goading the target into a rules‑violating reaction, then reports the reaction while omitting the context. Reactive harassment flips the script, making the victim appear as the aggressor.
Example: “He called her names in dozens of deleted messages, then she finally called him an idiot. He reported her for harassment, and she was banned. Reactive harassment: the victim gets punished for reacting to abuse.”

Reactive Stalking

A manipulation technique where a perpetrator monitors, documents, or even encourages another person’s online activity, then waits for that person to engage in any form of interaction—especially a negative one—and claims that interaction constitutes “stalking.” The perpetrator may have been following the target for months, but the target’s single reply or mention is presented as obsessive behavior. Reactive stalking inverts the reality of who is pursuing whom, using the target’s justified attention (or even accidental overlap) as evidence that the target is the stalker.
Example: “He’d been tracking her every post across three platforms. When she replied to a mutual friend’s thread where he was also present, he screenshotted it and filed a report accusing her of stalking. Reactive stalking: the hunter posing as the hunted.”
