When fans promote their favorite flop group by mimicking the way popular groups/artists promote. Often using unconventional ways to convince the general public their group is larger than they actually are. Usually by means of viral memes and fake tweets/controversies.

Promobabble is an advertisement cleverly disguiesed as mindless talk show chat.

It seems that now an actor who stars in a movie is required to go on the talk show circuit and dish the promobabble about the film to build opening day business.
