Normal meaning: A perigee is an actual astronomical term for when a moon or satellite is closest to Earth in its orbit. The moon takes around 27 days to orbit the Earth.

Homestuck Meaning: Alternia’s astronomical structure may be different, but it can be stated that a perigee is a unit of time measurement. Perigees on Alternia are the equivalent of months on Earth.
