Object permanence

A trait of adhd and add.
Iam "I have no sense of 'object permanence' which causes me to struggle to pick favorites. This would explain why my 'axiomatic framwork of perception' isn't hierarchical. It's like a timeline or something. Most things are just... Conceptually adjacent to me."

emotional object permanence

it's object permanence, but for emotions.

the most common example is of people who have attachment issues or disorders that have attachment-issue-like symptoms (e.g. BPD), where people feel like their friends or partner do not love them unless they are showed affection and are reassured constantly.

it could literally be anything else too, like not thinking your soul-bound enemy hates you during times they don't show you hate
Person 1: I feel like my best friend doesn't like me unless they talk with me and reassure me they're my best friend.
Person 2: They do like you, and consider you a best friend as well..You just have emotional object permanence because momma didn't give you much love as a child.

postvolitional object permanence

Coined by Kimmina. A term describing the moment one grasps that a manufactured object outlives the will that brought it into existence. Adapted from Piaget's developmental concept of object permanence (the understanding that things persist when out of sight), but inverted: here, the object persists not beyond perception, but beyond purpose. Frequently observed in workshops, labs, and homes where 3D prints, prototypes, and other artifacts of past enthusiasm accumulate as silent witnesses to abandoned intentions. Touches on themes from material culture studies, consumption theory, and the sociology of technology: why humans produce more than they need, and what happens to the things left behind.
After a year of printing, his shelves had become a quiet museum of postvolitional object permanence: objects that once felt essential, now just there.

Serial Monogamist

Someone who jumps from one relationship immediately into another one.

Serial monogamists can not stand to be alone and often suffer from vast commitment and insecurity issues.

Because they jump into relationships immediately after the previous one has ended, serial monogamists typically don't take the time to reflect on their behavior or why their previous relationships failed; thus, they end up making the same relationship mistakes over and over again.
Person 1: Damn, Dustin already has a new girlfriend?! It's only been two weeks since he broke up with his fiance! I think he's a sociopath.

Person 2: No, he's a serial monogamist...
