The act of being naive and someone noticing it.
I was naive to the favt that I'm not fat so Jill pointed and laughed at my naiveness. She'll pay for it...

Generally speaking, to be naive means you do not think enough. People who are "naive" tend to believe in whatever they are told, without questioning whether it is right or wrong. As for age, it can be anywhere from 1-100. Anyone who has not lived through and seen enough of this world is generally referred to as naive.
Some people just vote for whoever; they're so naive.

A word that is commonly used to negatively refer to a person who is very idealistic and believes in supposed non-existent social constructs such as "soulmates", "true love", "peace on earth" etc.

However, this needs to be reversed as there is nothing wrong with it and those who hate on naive people are just envious their innocence was already brutally shattered by some tragic mishap (i.e. being dumped or cheated on)

People who are naive are not ignorant fools but rather they are people who dare to dream and go against the grain of the all-too-common cynical realist who love playing the role of joy killer

And for the record, the concept of "true love" cannot be disproven either, so some people need to stop preaching like it's not real just because they suck at relationships
Guy 1: Joe is so naive. He thinks he has a soulmate somewhere out there. The poor sap will probably only get his heart broken and end up being like the rest of us

Guy 2: Stop talking like the bitter realist that you are

A naive person is someone with a childish/innocent view of the world. The opposite of a cynic, really.
1. Everyone has some good in them.

2. A stranger is just a friend you haven't met.

These people are naive, because they believe that people like Himmler regret sending all the Jews to the gas chamber, and that people who say you shouldn't go somewhere on your own with a stranger are overreacting.

Being naive generally means not to think enough. Naive persons often show a certain ignorance or simplicity when thinking about a problem. This could be due to lack of experience, information or ability to make judgments.
Some people say all Americans are ignorant and naive, however, this is a naive view itself.

Some naive teenagers think nothing can happen to them when they leave their name and address in a chatbox.

John thinks their is no corruption in politics, this is naive.

A lot of children are naive, however, people of all ages can be naive, simply due to a lack of experience or a lack of information.
