Words you can keep

mopped up

"someone who is the unfortunate / fortunate recipient of a right good twating (beating up. Usually it occurs as a result of upsetting one or a number of "casuals", whilst trawling the streets and bars of stoke-on-trent and newcastle." Reasons for being mopped include:

1. The casual has had too much to drink
2. The casual has had too much coke
3. The casual hasnt had a fight for more than 2 weeks
4. All of the above
5. The casual had a drink spilt on him
6. The casual was being stared at from across the bar
7. The mopped person was trying it on with a casuals bird
8. The casual was disrespected in any shape or form

Those who have been mopped are usually refered to as "dumb-fuckers" and/or "remeber that dickhead i/we mopped"!!!

A youth decides that in-order to prove his manliness to his fellow mates, decides to take on the challenge of a significant group of casuals. The end result being as swift run up to A@E for him, and the embarasement of not even putting up a decent fight. This is how people get mopped up.

BE WARNED, CASUALS SHOULD ONLY BE APPROACHED BY FEMALES LOOKING FOR A GOOD TIME.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
They're playing nu-metal now, bloody grebos!
