Mediocrite

A cooler more dismissive way of saying mediocre, which rhymes with meteorite.

It is also a variation of inferiorite.
Tom: IT folks saved some dough by installing laptop memory not made in the USA. We had nothing but crashes and trouble as a result.
Kenny: Yeah, management oughta fire them. They're nothing but a bunch of mediocrites.

Lisa: Those reports are bugging me. Every time I finish one, my boss asks me for two more. It's been driving me insane all week long.
Mary: Have you been using a reporting tool?
Lisa: Spreadsheets... nothing more! Management isn't willing to shell out any money for a reporting package.
Mary: How about you purchase one with money from your own salary? It would save you quite some time and trouble at work after all.
Lisa: I thought about it. I could barely keep up with my rent and kids. You want me to pay for professional reporting software with my own money too? Forget about it.
Mary: That's what you get for working for a bunch of mediocrites. It's time to step up and quit to join a better company that actually deserves you.

Mediocre Dick Energy (MDE)

MDE is a complete lack of confidence and zest due to the fact that one is packing a small gun. Like conceal and carry, but for a baby. #babycock
This girl (siphoe) said she wanted a Hot Big Ben, but unfortunately I am packing Mediocre Dick Energy (MDE)

premium mediocre

Attempts at being upscale when you have little clue what class really is. An attempt to be fancy, when it's in fact little more than a polished meh. A little splurge to get fancy, when it's flexing a little bit of status from spent money more than achieving a high standard of quality. Still essentially mediocre, but with some fancy frills polishing the appearance without substantial improvement.

Originally coined by Venkatesh Rao in 02017 "Premium mediocre is the finest bottle of wine at Olive Garden." it has quickly spread from Twitter throughout the intarwebz.
"I wanted to impress her, so I took her to a fancy restaurant." "Yeah bro? Like where?" "Red Lobster" "Man, that ain't fancy, that's just premium mediocre."

McMansions are about as premium mediocre as you can get.

Mediocity

Mat "Pookie" Swingle's favorite "word", which in fact isn't a word at all. It was just mediocrity misspelled on a Panda Express fortune cookie that Mat found when he was 12.
Mat showed me the fortune cookie paper while we were hanging out one day. It said, and I quote, " Be broke or be wealthy, but never accept mediocity."

mediocrement

n. It's like a compliment, but not. But it's also not an insult.
3 examples of a mediocrement:

"Hey, you're not the grossest person I've ever met!"
"Well, you didn't miss ALL the pins on your last bowl."
"Here, have a participation trophy."

Mediocre

Not good, not bad, but a negative term nonetheless. Often used to describe something that is average, but was expected to be much better.
She was a mediocre student who could have been much better.
