Layoff Beard 

The term Layoff Beard refers to any facial hair that is grown in celebration of unemployment. Qualifying events include getting: canned, fired, axed, pink-slipped, downsized, marginalized, shown the door, let go, dismissed, let go, or laid off.

Layoff Beards were popularized in fall 2008 by the website TheCanned.com, which runs an unemployment-themed blog titled "The Layoff Beard."
There are a lot of bankers out there who have grown ferocious layoff beards following the financial crisis of 2008.

layoffcation 

When you are forced to take one or two weeks off of work by the man. This is done as a way to save the company money.

Usually used in a question to determine if the other party considers the discussable information funny aswell.

Facebook Layoffs 

Getting rid of all your "friends" that you now don't talk to, care about, have never met, or just now "dislike." Similar to a company trimming the fat in the their labor force.
Just went through a round of facebook layoffs... and man, it feels good.

Layoff Buffer 

The people who work slower than you. If a layoff happens you can feel confident that you are secure because these people will act as a layoff buffer.
I am not worried about a layoff because Ron still works here and he is my Layoff Buffer.
