When someone says something to another person (or group of persons) that, for one reason or another, does not illicit a response. (This phrase was created amongst a group of friends attending Lewis College, Illinois, in the early 1970's, when one of them picked up a tube of ointment labeled LIP BALM, and said to the group, "Whose lip balm is this?" When no one acknowledged that he had even spoken, the person repeated the phrase, "Lip balm... lip balm...")

When I gave my opinion to the discussion group about the latest Tom Hanks movie, everyone completely lip balmed me!

trucker's tan

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.

I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.
