(also. Lecture-Rant, pronounced Lektcha-rant) An angry lecture that may have an accusatory undertone. A lecture-style scripted performance in which the lecturer consciously speaks truth to power and ignores codes of civility. The word was first introduced at Davidson College (North Carolina) in an event sponsored by the Middle East North Africa Student Association (MENASA).
It wasn't a lecture. It wasn't rant. It was a lecturant.
Perhaps what we need in this postmodern ineptitude is less lectures and more lecturants.
I won't be the subject of your lecturant.
(as a verb) I won't be silent as you lecturant your way out of this mess.
(as a verb) Don't lecturant me.

Being open and sharing becomes lecturing when you're talking to somebody who wasn't looking for your level of openness, which seems like hypocrisy. Like everyone else, the person you're told you're lecturing is a hypocrite too.

An act of passing on information at one's leisure, and although it is meant to get through to one's head, it ends up pissing them off anyway.
"I hate it when my older brother lectures me. He treats me like I'm his son. I'm not dammit! Also, make sure you don't tell him what to do when he's driving; his ego shows when he's behind the wheel and he will lecture you to the max if you act like a backseat-driver even at the MOST MINOR situation."
