International Security Assistance Force: Multinational force responsible for providing security and reconstruction to Afghanistan.

40 Nations make up the ISAF including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, other European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Turkey and Singapore.

(n) ISAF - A group of people dedicated to loving the host nation's community whether they like it or not.

(v) ISAF'd - To force care on a group of people, which is usually considered borderline harassment or rape.

(n) An ISAF convoy drove through Kandahar City today and accidentally ran over a goat and spent 2 million dollars to shut the local Afghan villagers complaining up.

(v) The patrol went through the village and ISAF'd the shit out of the kids by giving them clothes we used to wear back in the 80's as well as pens, penicillin, water and radios. Later that day the same kids shot at the patrol.

ISAF

The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was the NATO led multinational military force in Afghanistan from 2001 - 2014. At the height of combat operations in Afghanistan, over 50 countries were part of ISAF.

With American troops who served in Afghanistan, ISAF was also known as: I Saw Americans Fighting, I Suck At Fighting (in reference to ISAF countries not engaged in combat operations while in Afghanistan), and I Shop At AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service). During my second deployment to Afghanistan, when I would make resupply trips to Kandahar Airfield in 2007, the Post Exchange (PX) there was always filled with Coalition soldiers, buying up everything in the PX. Every time I would go to the PX to get some toiletries, there would always be a group of Romanian soldiers leaving the PX with foot lockers filled with snacks and clothes.

The Romanians are conducting ISAF operations at the Kandahar PX now.
