Fake Clap

The act of clapping when you really don't want to, but feel forced to based on the circumstances.

I went to a function recently and I had to fake clap for that phony, Hillary Clinton, after her speech.

I was compelled to fake clap when Derek Jeter got a hit off of Johan Santana, otherwise, the bleacher bums would have thrown beer on me.
