Evanjellyfish

A nominal “Christian” or leader within evangelical circles who prioritizes cultural relevance and popularity over biblical truth and theological conviction. Often marked by a lack of spiritual backbone, evanjellyfish conform to societal trends, avoid confrontation, and dilute the Gospel to remain palatable. Their faith is as flexible and ungrounded as the jellyfish, bending to the waves of modern ideology. (See also: seeker-sensitive, post-evangelical)
“After hearing the pastor dodge every tough question about sin and salvation during the interview, it was hard not to think of him as just another evanjellyfish, more concerned with his public image than proclaiming the truth.”
