the students elish'ed the project

To be absent on the day a major project is due or when there is a major test because either you did not do the assignment or am not ready to take them. Then, ask everyone to give you answers and then hand in the assignment or take the test over a week later and do not lose any credit.
Dave decided that he did not want to hand in his essay since it was bad so he elished the next day of school, but, he managed to enrage his classmates in the process.
