Drivers Test

The hardest Test ever invented. Truly, what is the point? The DMV people will fail you no matter what. 70% of the people i know have failed it at least once, maybe twice if they are actually good drivers. Best advice? Try not to show weakness.... they can sniff out fear.
DMV person: "Pull over when you get the chance."
person taking drivers test: "Okay"
DMV person: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING! I TOLD YOU TO PULL OVER! PULL OVER RIGHT NOW!" *shakes head*
person taking drivers test: "Oh... shit.. wait, shoot! I'm sorry! Let me just..."
DMV person: "OH MY GOSH! YOU ALMOST HIT THAT CAR! WHY ARE YOU PULLING OVER!"
person taking drivers test: "well... i obviously just failed... can we just go back to the DMV now?"

Driver Test Stop

The opposite of a California Rolling Stop. Someone who does a Drivers Test Stop goes up to a stop sign, comes to a complete stop, waits for 3 seconds, and than slowly accelerates into the intersection. Likely to cause low speed collisions, especially in California where drivers are expected to drive through stop signs.

Most commonly done by recently licensed drivers, old people, and minivan drivers.

Note: after three seconds it is socially acceptable to honk.
It took me an extra 5 minutes to get to work today because the guy in front of me was taking Driver Test Stops. He almost caused me to rear end him.

God Shot

A chance happening with profound meaning, an unexpected blessing, a "sign".
Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab said "All of a sudden what had been just another Hollywood proposal became for him an unexpected blessing, an opportunity for growth. In drug recovery language, that's called a "God shot."

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.
